The Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (IAHPERD) is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) educational organization, which through the action of its members, continuously strives to fulfill the following mission:

The Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance will provide professional support and guidance to educators throughout the state as they develop and conduct educational programs.

The Texas Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance (TAHPERD) is a not-for-profit professional association of individuals in the allied fields of health education, physical education, recreation, and dance. This Texas-based association is composed of over 2,000 professional and student members serving education from early childhood through college. While most of our members are employed in public or private education, individuals representing interests in government and private agencies, business, and health care provision are increasing their voice in our membership. TAHPERD was founded in 1923 and is the only association in Texas serving education in all four of our disciplines—health, physical education, recreation, and dance.

Our Mission is to support our members in promoting health and physical literacy for all.

Our Vision is to be the leading resource and advocate for health, physical education, recreation, and dance.

Join us at the Founders Inn for Virginia AHPERD's annual weekend of professional development! The 88th annual Convention promises an outstanding line up of speakers. We will honor our Award Winners with a Ceremony and Dinner Reception. We have added lots of food this year. Join us for the very social Casino Night on Friday (door prizes galore!) and for an amazing Dance Night on Saturday (DJ and great snacks)!
